I can safely say I would return to Holt Bank Cottage in the future.

'Stayed here for 2 nights while attending a concert at the stadium. The cottage is even better in reality than it is in the pictures. Its very clean, spacious and well equipped and is more than suited for short or long stays. The location is in a nice neighborhood with a brilliant park just moments away and the centre of town a 10 to 15 minute walk where there are plenty of pubs and restaurants to suit all tastes. John was a great host, very responsive and recommended good places to eat and drink at during our stay. With all that for a very good price'

A very nice and lovely place.

John and Ann were very awesome all through our stay, we came all the way from Nigeria and they were the first set of people we met in Huddersfield and they are really wonderful. Cottage is very clean and neat. Really wished we could stay longer. Hoping to spend some time there again in the future. I definitely recommend.

We will definitely be staying again!!

We stayed for Christmas 2021, inviting our family for Christmas dinner. The kitchen had everything you would need and more! not least the dishwasher.

The place is cosy and roomy, the open plan aspect means everyone can socialise and the chef or chefs don't get left out.

The beds are exceptionally comfy!!

The location is perfect for Huddersfield and the local areas.

A warm welcome and a really comfortable stay..

The cottage is private, lovely and clean and detached with everything you need.

There is good parking and it is really well located for Huddersfield and the surrounding areas, including a beautiful park just a couple of minutes away.

Couldn't hope for more lovely hosts.. John and his wife are warm, welcoming, kind and helpful.

Holt Bank is absolutely charming.

A beautifully  converted coach house, well appointed and absolutly pristine. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found our hosts John and Ann, friendly and very helpful.

Holt Bank is the perfect place for a cosy stay and as a base to explore the area.

On your doorstep you have a small wood across the road and a large park just 2 minutes away, and with a 20 minute walk to the train station you only need take a few stops in most directions to access beautiful countryside for walking.

After a full day out I found the upstairs of Holt Bank a particularly relaxing space with comfy seating and skylights to the sloping roof to enjoy the evening air.

I truly felt a sense of 'getting away from it all'

"Fantastic doesn't seem to do it justice"

Immaculate inside, very comfortable with everything you need and nothing you don't, even outside small private courtyard, parking right beside in secure parking area, near to Huddersfield centre , walkers, people who enjoy outdoors have beautiful countryside all around, and the hosts are the best, they made me feel right at home, but don't take my word for it, try it, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Would I stay there again? definitely.

'Wonderful Christmas'

A lovely converted coach house with lots of modern touches, well equipped, clean and comfortable. A very convenient location to walk into Huddersfield from, as well as being close to M62 access.

John and Ann are great hosts, very approachable and helpful. We will definitely book again, as it is a gem of a place. Thank you for making us so welcome. It was like home from home! We would love to stay again when next in the area.

Close to the beautiful Greenhead Park and at a walking distance from the city center. The Holt Bank cottage is a lovely little house. Very clean and charming. John and his wife were extremely caring and helpful hosts, very welcoming with our one year old baby. Highly recommended.

'Amazing experience'

My husband and I stayed at Holt Bank for eight days while on holiday from the US and we couldn't have been more pleased!!! Ann and John were fantastic! They welcomed us upon arrival and showed us around the cottage. It was extremely clean and tidy, and was so warm and inviting. This was our first time in the UK and we found our stay at Holt Bank to be absolutely wonderful! We relied on public transportation, and Holt Bank was an easy walk to the train and bus stations, which are located right in the heart of the city centre. The cottage had strong wifi, which was perfect for keeping in touch with friends and family back home, and we loved watching Sky tv after a long day of exploring. What more can I say? Our stay at Holt Bank was PERFECT!!! We will definitely be back!

'Super accommodation in a convenient location' 

We stayed for 6 nights in Holt Bank, a recently renovated coach house in a quiet residential area. It was warm, welcoming and very comfortable, with parking on the driveway right outside. The accommodation was spotless with a very well equipped kitchen, Virgin TV, wifi, a good selection of books etc. The location is very convenient for Huddersfield centre (15 minutes walk), local shops, the excellent nearby park and the Huddersfield ring road which will take you to all points N,E, S and W. The owners ooze northern hospitality. Holt Bank is an unusual combination - the sort of self catering accommodation you would normally expect to find in the country, only this is (almost) in the centre of town. Holt Bank will suit singles or a couple with one or two children very well indeed. We really enjoyed our stay and have no hesitation in recommending it.

'Totally at home here as soon as I arrived'

Over the last few years I have stayed for a week in Yorkshire every summer; this is the best accommodation I have found
Beautifully restored and furnished coach house with everything as advertised and more. The kitchen was equipped with everything I normally carry around with me and with excellent wifi and DAB radio upstairs and downstairs it was perfect for me
Ann & John were very welcoming and had even gone to the trouble of finding out about the local cycling when they knew I was bringing a bike. As I had watched the Tour of France departing in Yorkshire this was exactly what I wanted to do on this visit

The parquet floor in the lounge, the window frames and the fireplace theme outside are particular features of the thoughtful restoration but mostly this is just a lovely place to stay and I didn't even have time to admire the garden.
